In 2025, more than 16 thousand citizens of Ukraine entered Russia.
In the first months of 2025, 16,225 Ukrainian citizens crossed the Russian border, most of whom came on private visits.
According to statistics, 15,338 Ukrainians entered Russia for private visits, 652 for business, 57 as tourists, and 21 people were in transit. Most of them crossed the border by air — 15,475 people. 705 citizens arrived by car, and 45 more crossed the border on foot.
"These data show that the main purpose of the visits remains private — trips to relatives and friends," RIA Novosti noted on September 2.
Earlier, on July 14, it was reported that Ukrainian citizens may not get to Russia when passing a check at Sheremetyevo airport. It was noted that entry into the country could be banned for up to 50 years for supporting the Kiev regime and a negative attitude towards the special military operation (SVO).
