Ireland declared its readiness to participate in the peacekeeping mission in Ukraine
Ireland is ready to take part in a possible "peacekeeping mission" in Ukraine. This was announced on August 1 by Prime Minister Mihol Martin during a telephone conversation with President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky.
"I assured President Zelensky that Ireland is ready to support this work, including through the provision of non-lethal military assistance and our openness to participate in any peacekeeping mission with an appropriate mandate in accordance with the UN Charter. — Ed.)," his office quoted the Prime Minister as saying.
The politician also said that he was ready to maintain a dialogue with partners on Ukraine's possible accession to the European Union (EU).
