Swedish striker Alexander Isak has moved from Newcastle to Liverpool for €144 million, setting a new transfer record in the English Premier League. The signing of the contract was announced on September 1 by the Liverpool press service.

The deal amount exceeded the June record set during the transfer of Florian Wirtz for €125 million. For Newcastle, this deal was also historic — the club made the largest sale of a player in the history of English football.
