Sobyanin spoke about the anniversaries of five metropolitan art schools
Five art schools in Moscow celebrated their anniversaries on September 1. This was announced on Monday by the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin.
According to him, they include the Flier School (75 years old), Tchaikovsky (55 years old), Tabakov (50 years old), as well as the Ryazan School "Dar" and the Novo-Fedorovskaya Music School, which turned 30 years old, the Moscow City News agency reports.
There are 153 creative institutions operating in the capital, writes Moscow 24. As part of the Art for Children project, 170 buildings have been renovated — 80% of art schools. More than 13,000 musical instruments and modern equipment were also purchased.
By the new academic year, the Vishnevskaya College of Musical and Theatrical Arts was opened after renovation. Four more buildings are currently being renovated, including the Filatov Moscow Theater College, and a new art school will appear in the city of Moskovsky.
On August 29, the head of the Moscow Department of Culture, Alexei Fursin, announced that the first 20 graduates of colleges and art schools had been selected in Moscow, who would be awarded mayor's grants for admission to universities of culture and art.
