Germany urges NATO to show restraint amid Russian exercises

Berlin has warned NATO allies to be careful during the Quadriga-2025 exercises, which are taking place in the Baltic at the same time as the Russian Zapad-25 maneuvers in Belarus. This was reported by the Handelsblatt newspaper on September 1.

Bundeswehr Inspector General Carsten Breuer said that the timing of the exercises requires the utmost restraint on the part of the alliance to avoid unnecessary escalation.
