Bloomberg has learned about the EU's plans to request confirmation of the gas' origin

The European Union (EU) countries may start requesting importers to confirm the origin of the supplied gas in order to exclude the purchase of Russian fuel. This was reported on September 1 by Bloomberg with reference to the relevant document.

"Denmark, which holds the EU presidency once again, has proposed changes that will oblige importers to provide evidence to national authorities that gas was not produced in Russia," the publication says.
