Rescuers evacuated 13 people due to heavy rain in Cherepovets, Vologda region. This was announced on September 1 by Roman Maslov, the mayor of the city.

"We continue to eliminate the consequences of bad weather. Severe flooding of storage areas was recorded on Borshodskaya Street. Rescuers evacuated 13 people by boat," he wrote on his Telegram channel.

According to him, some entrepreneurs refuse to leave their warehouses because they are worried about the goods. It is specified that the work on pumping water and ensuring safety continues.

Earlier in the day, Maslov reported that a landslide had occurred in Cherepovets due to heavy rains. In addition, the movement of trams was stopped. According to the mayor, 36 mm of precipitation has fallen in the region to date, which is 63% of the monthly norm.
