A contingent of the Indian Army has left for Fort Wainwright in Alaska to participate in the 21st joint Indian-American military exercises Yudh Abhyas – 2025. This was announced on September 1 by the Indian Ministry of Defense.

"The Indian contingent, consisting of personnel from the battalion of the Madras Regiment, will train with soldiers of the 1st battalion of the 5th Infantry Regiment Bobcats of the Arctic Wolves Brigade combat team of the 11th Airborne Division of the United States," the agency said in a statement on the All India radio station's Facebook page (owned by the company Meta, whose activities are recognized as extremist and banned in the Russian Federation).

The exercises will be held from September 1 to September 14. For two weeks, the military will practice a wide range of tactical exercises, including helicopter flights, mining operations, the use of surveillance equipment, unmanned aerial vehicles and electronic warfare systems.

As noted by the Indian Ministry of Defense, the culmination will be the holding of jointly planned tactical maneuvers, ranging from live firing exercises to combat operations at altitude.

Earlier, on August 10, the country's Defense Minister Rajnath Singh pointed out the tremendous pace of development of the country. During his speech, he criticized the tariffs imposed by the United States on India and noted that some states cannot accept India's successes.
