Pedestrian crossings near schools and colleges have been updated in the Moscow region

In the Moscow region, 1.8 thousand pedestrian crossings located near educational institutions have been put in order. This was announced on Monday, September 1, according to the press service of the regional Ministry of Transport.

The work was carried out as part of the preparation of roads for the start of the school year on sections of the municipal, regional and federal network. Most of these facilities were put in order in Odintsovo, Lyubertsy and Kolomna — 113, 108 and 102, respectively.

Models of child pedestrians have also appeared on the roads to attract the attention of motorists. In total, more than 1,000 facilities were installed on the municipal network and 200 on the regional network.

According to the online publication Podmoskovye Segodnya, by the end of 2025, more than 100 crossings on regional roads will be equipped near educational institutions.

Earlier in August, it was reported that about 300 sections of roads leading to colleges, kindergartens, schools, gymnasiums, lyceums and technical schools were put in order in the Moscow Region before the start of the new school year. The workers, in particular, updated the coating and markings, equipped fences and speed bumps.
