Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated at the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit in Tianjin on September 1 that Armenia is ready to fulfill the agreements reached with Azerbaijan, adopted in the United States, and is determined to implement them quickly.
"I want to confirm the commitment of the Republic of Armenia to the agreements reached, and we are determined to implement them as soon as possible," the Prime Minister said, a fragment of the speech is given on his personal Facebook page (owned by Meta, a company whose activities are recognized as extremist and banned in the Russian Federation).
Pashinyan noted that this will open up opportunities for the restoration of communication between Armenia and Azerbaijan, as well as create new logistics routes for the countries of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, including its closest neighbors.
On August 8, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev signed a declaration on the peaceful settlement of the conflict. During the meeting in Washington, they agreed to end the confrontation and resume diplomatic relations. Pashinyan noted that Yerevan and Baku established peace by signing documents in the United States.
Later, on August 18, Pashinyan called the initialing of the peace treaty between Yerevan and Baku in the United States a turning point. According to him, after that they live "in a completely different South Caucasus."
