Russian President Vladimir Putin has extended the term of service of Valery Tikhonov, Director of the State Courier Service of the Russian Federation. The relevant document was posted on the official Internet portal of legal information on September 1.

"To extend the term of the federal state civil service until October 13, 2026 to Valery Vladimirovich Tikhonov, Director of the SFS of Russia," the order says.

Tikhonov has been the head of the State Courier Service since June 25, 2012.

On August 30, the Russian president signed an order extending the powers of the head of the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia, Alexander Bastrykin. It was noted that the decree of the head of state was signed on August 27.
