The selection was formed based on the number of visits to the portal's series pages, mentions of projects in the media, activity on social networks, and the availability and popularity of official project pages on social networks. The results were brought to a single scale, after which, based on the average value, the "Series Expectation Indicator" was calculated.

"For the first time, we decided to measure the audience's interest in future series. It is clear that the projects are in unequal conditions: some are coming out literally in the coming weeks, others are announced only for next year; someone is actively campaigning, and someone has limited himself to just a general announcement. That's why, for example, we didn't take into account trailer views — many of them just don't have them yet. Nevertheless, the results were significant," said the editor—in-chief of the portal, Jean Prosyanov.

In the first place of the selection was the fifth season of the NTV detective "The First Department". His expectation score reached 171. The second place was taken by the musical drama "Lilies of the Valley. The second spring". She scored 168 points. In third place is the START online movie series "Vampires of the Middle Lane" with 74 points.
