Tokayev called the situation with the shallowing of the Caspian Sea critical

The shallowing of the Caspian Sea is close to an ecological disaster. This was announced on September 1 by President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev at the summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO).

"Today, within the framework of such a representative forum, I would like to draw your attention to a very delicate but serious topic. This is a deplorable situation around the Caspian Sea. The situation is approaching an environmental catastrophe," the press service of the President of the Republic quoted him as saying on the Telegram channel.
