The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) used an airplane-type drone to attack Luhansk during an event dedicated to the Day of Knowledge. This was announced on September 1 by the government of the Luhansk People's Republic (LNR).

"The armed formations of Ukraine tried to strike Luhansk at a time when there were solemn lines throughout the city on Knowledge Day," the government said in an interview with TASS.
