Pianist and Honored Artist of the Russian Federation Evgeny Levitan has died.

Evgeny Levitan, a Soviet and Russian pianist, outstanding music teacher and Honored Artist of the Russian Federation, has died. This was announced on September 1 by musician Igor Roshchupkin on his VKontakte page.

"Sometimes in our lives we meet amazing people who never become your teachers and mentors on paper, but play a huge role in life. Evgeny Alexandrovich Levitan was and will be such an amazing musician and person for me," the publication says.
