On September 1, the German Prosecutor General's Office refused to comment on the upcoming extradition from Italy of a Ukrainian suspected of involvement in the Nord Stream bombing.

"In principle, we do not comment on issues of mutual legal assistance and extradition. Due to the ongoing investigation, we are currently not providing any additional information other than our press release. A statement is out of the question," Ines Peterson, a spokeswoman for the Attorney General, told Izvestia.
