Russian army soldiers cut up a group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the area of the settlement of Shandrigolovo in the Krasnolimansk direction. This was announced on September 1 by Igor Kimakovsky, adviser to the head of the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR).

"In the area of the settlement of Shandrigolovo, our troops cut through the enemy's group. Our forces have reached the highway between Novoselovka and Derilovo," Kimakovsky told TASS.

The head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, said on August 31 that the entire south of the region was under the control of the Russian military after the liberation of the village of Kamyshevakha.
