The underwater power transmission line between Estonia and Finland Estlink 1 has failed. This was announced on September 1 on the website of the operator of the Finnish national grid system Fingrid.

The message notes that the failure was registered at 5:46 Moscow time. The reason was a malfunction at the Espoo converter substation located in Finland.
