Seven car brands changed car prices in August

Seven car brands have rewritten the price lists for new cars in August 2025. Of these, only one has raised car prices, this is the domestic brand Amberauto, the analytical agency Autostat reported on September 1.

In the second half of August, Amberauto raised the price of its only model, the A5 electric car. The Comfort package increased in price by 307.7 thousand rubles (+13.3%) and now costs almost 2.62 million rubles. In the Business version, this electric car has become more expensive by 209.6 thousand rubles (+8%) and costs 2.82 million rubles.

According to analysts, from August 1 to August 15, prices for new cars decreased for the brands Chery, Haval, Jaecoo, Omoda, Oting and Soueast. For example, Chery's Tiggo 7 Pro Max and Tiggo 7L models have fallen in price by 70-280 thousand rubles, depending on the configuration and year of manufacture. Omoda's C5 and C7 crossovers lost up to 390 thousand rubles in price. And the Jaecoo J7 crossover has become cheaper by 50-330 thousand rubles.

Earlier, on August 29, First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov said that the Russian car market is gradually recovering, but higher rates will be noticeable at a key rate below 15%, such an indicator will more rhythmically stimulate sales. According to Autostat, 651,000 new passenger cars were sold in Russia in the first seven months of 2025, which is 23.9% less than in January –July last year.
