Sobyanin congratulated Muscovites on Knowledge Day

Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin congratulated the capital's schoolchildren, students, teachers and parents on Knowledge Day. In his channel at the IACH, he noted that this year, for the first time, more than 100,000 Muscovites will cross the threshold of the school.

"The first of September is a holiday that opens the doors to a wonderful world of creativity, kindness and amazing discoveries," Sobyanin wrote. He stressed that after the summer holidays, studying again becomes the main thing in the lives of children and teachers.

Sobyanin wished "all schoolchildren of the city health, joy and great success in their studies and life."

Earlier, the mayor of Moscow announced that 1.6 million students will go to educational institutions in the capital in 2025. He stressed that Moscow schools and kindergartens are ready for the start of the school year. In particular, more than 1.2 thousand buildings of various educational institutions were repaired during the summer period, and 51 schools were renovated as part of the My School educational infrastructure reconstruction program.
