Krasnoyarsk residents were warned about heavy rains and hurricane-force winds

The Krasnoyarsk Territory was hit by bad weather. Showers, thunderstorms and large hail are possible during the day on September 1 in the central and southern regions of the region. Squally wind increases of 25 m/s or more are not excluded.

Due to heavy rainfall, floods are expected to form. A sharp increase in ox levels is possible on the rivers, their access to the floodplain and flooding of low-lying areas, flooding of streams and small rivers. The warning especially concerns residents of the Kansk, Ermakovsky, Karatuzsky and Minusinsk municipal districts.

A warning has been issued for the period from 1 to 3 September.

According to the KrasnoyarskMedia news agency, experts advise moving valuables to the upper floors and possibly preparing an "alarming suitcase" with food, water, documents, money, medicines and warm clothes.

Earlier, on August 28, meteorologists warned that heavy rains were expected in autumn in Moscow, the Moscow region, St. Petersburg, Crimea, Krasnodar and Stavropol territories and a number of other regions, therefore flooding is possible in these territories. The probability of such a development will become higher in the second half of September. At the end of summer, flooding had already begun in the Nevelsky district of the Sakhalin Region, where a municipal emergency regime had been declared.
