An exception was made for stores with an area of more than 300 square meters. They can only sell alcoholic beverages in a separate room and with a separate cash register and entrance. Sergey Novichenko, Deputy Head of the Committee on Economic Policy and Entrepreneurship of the regional parliament, said that there are about 3,000 retail outlets selling alcohol in the region. About 800 of them are in Chita. Some stores managed to prepare for the innovation and equipped separate premises for the sale of alcohol.
Representatives of other businesses, such as bakeries, cafes, and children's development centers, may come to the vacated premises. The local authorities are ready to provide support.
