The economies of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) member countries are growing much faster than the "stagnating economies" of Europe and the United Kingdom. This was announced on September 1 by Kirill Dmitriev, Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation for cooperation with foreign countries and head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF).

"The SCO countries account for more than half of the world's population, about a third of global GDP. And, most importantly, they are growing much faster than the global economy as a whole and, of course, much faster than the stagnating economies of Europe, Britain and those countries that are not focused on joint positive activities with Russia," he said, answering a question from reporters.
