A crew of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of the Novorossiysk Airborne Forces unit tried to rescue a militant of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), who wanted to surrender, from his colleagues. The Russian Ministry of Defense publishes footage of the operators on September 1.

The ministry clarified that the Ukrainian militants tried in every possible way to stop a colleague who wanted to surrender. Russian servicemen used UAVs to show the soldier the way and escorted him to the positions of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.

Despite all the attempts of the Russian Armed Forces soldiers to repel the attacks of the Ukrainian Armed Forces UAVs, one of the Ukrainian FPV drones hit a militant who was trying to surrender, as a result of which he died.

On August 31, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that Russian military personnel of the Vostok group of forces had destroyed control points for unmanned aerial vehicles of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Dnipropetrovsk region. As a result of the artillery fire, the Ukrainian military lost some of its controls and coordination.
