Rescuers evacuated 54 people from an apartment building that caught fire in Tyumen. This was announced on September 1 in the main directorate (GU) of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation in the region.
"On September 1, a message was received about an electrical panel fire in the entrance of a nine—story apartment building at 40 Kholodnaya Street, Tyumen," the department's Telegram channel says.
It is specified that by the time firefighters arrived, the fire had engulfed the electrical control rooms from the fifth to the ninth floor. Rescuers managed to get 12 people out of the smoke-filled rooms, including eight children. In addition, they evacuated 42 more people. As a result of the incident, one person was injured.
The department also noted that the fire was eliminated. At the moment, the premises are being checked and ventilated.
38 people and nine units of basic and special equipment worked at the fire site.
On August 25, the Main Directorate (GU) of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation in St. Petersburg reported that one person died in a fire in an apartment located in the Primorsky district of St. Petersburg. Furniture on an area of 10 sq. m. m caught fire in a studio apartment. Three pieces of equipment and 14 specialists worked to eliminate the fire.
