On August 31, the head coach of Krasnodar football club criticized the provocative behavior of the coaching staff and athletes of CSKA Moscow FC against Colombian striker John Cordoba during the match of the 7th round of the Russian Premier League (RPL).

Musayev noted that he noticed the incident at the moment when Cordoba was heading from the football field towards the podium.
On the same day, Cordoba, commenting on the incident, announced his intention to leave the Russian football Championship. He noted that it was "not the first time" that he had to deal with similar situations when arbitrators began to "act against him." He, who ranks second in the list of the team's top scorers, noted that such situations prevent him from continuing his performances.
The meeting between FC CSKA and FC Krasnodar ended in a 1-1 draw, with midfielder Matvey Kislyak scoring a goal for the Army team in the 36th minute. In this match, two goals were cancelled out — the second, which was scored by Cordoba and the one scored by Kislyak in the 27th minute.
