A forest fire in the Gelendzhik region of the Krasnodar Territory has been extinguished. This was announced on August 31 by the governor of the region, Veniamin Kondratiev.

"Forest fires have been extinguished in Gelendzhik. For four days, more than 500 people fought the fire," he wrote on his Telegram channel.

A fire in a forest area in Gelendzhik after the fall of the wreckage of an APU drone occurred on August 28. The fire area was 41.5 hectares. According to the head of the resort city, Alexei Bogodistov, no one was injured in the incident. On August 29, the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported the localization of a fire in Gelendzhik.
