St. Petersburg is actively preparing for the upcoming KKinchevFest rock festival

Preparations are underway in St. Petersburg for the KKinchevFest rock festival, which will take place on September 5 and 6 at the MuzPort site on the shore of the Gulf of Finland. The bands that will take the stage were independently chosen by Konstantin Kinchev, the leader of the legendary Alice group.

This year's KKinchevFest is the fourth in a row. It became an anticipated and high-profile festival that thousands of fans loved.

"Festivals are usually very diverse, but here it's a holistic thing, where the value chain is very similar, even though the bands have different genres," said Vadim Samoilov, the leader and creator of the Agatha Christie group.

Kinchev has been friends with the creator and leader of the Kalinov Bridge collective Dmitriev Revyakin since the mid-80s. The leader of "Alice" was then brought to the band's studio during a tour in Novosibirsk. According to Revyakin, at that time Kinchev was present at the recording of the first magneto album "Kalinov Bridge". There they met and became friends.

This year, Knyazz, Stigmata, "From My Youth", "Northern Fleet", Sagrada, Vadim Samoilov, "Pilot", "25/17", "Give Two" will also take the stage.

According to Kinchev, the festival has outgrown the previous venue. He clarified that more people can be deployed to the new one so that there is not much crowding. Food courts will be located on the territory, as well as free water, an accessible environment, a mother and child room, a play area and a variety of merch.

"Will we be showing new tracks at KKinchevFest before the release? It is quite possible that yes. I would like to. We want to, but people still come to the old hits," said Jane Air band members Sergey Makarov and Anton Lissov.

By tradition, at the end of the festival, the Alice group will perform on stage and present two different programs.

Earlier, the second day of the Gorbunova Recreation Center — Legend of Russian Rock festival began in Moscow. On Sunday, August 31, such legends as "Kipelov", "Epidemic", Vadim Samoilov and other famous performers will take the stage. The organizers also promised a lot of surprises.

The festival "Gorbunova's DK — Legend of Russian Rock" started on August 30. The rock marathon takes place simultaneously on three stages. In the morning, hundreds of heavy music fans from different cities of Russia came to the S.P. Gorbunov House of Culture: St. Petersburg, Tolyatti, Nizhnevartovsk, Kemerovo, Volgograd and others.
