Polish nationalist bikers who staged a ceremony at a memorial in the village of Mednoye, Tver region, face deportation and a lifetime ban from entering Russia. There were 40 intruders, they arrived at the scene on 34 motorcycles. This was reported by Izvestia correspondent Leonid Kitrari.

According to Vladislav Teleshov, an employee of the security service of the Mednoye memorial complex, the bikers opened the barrier and entered the territory despite the ban on entering the territory. There is little security in Medny, and the complex itself is also rarely visited. In the event of an incident, there would have been only two security guards against 40 Poles. However, there was no conflict, as visits to the memorial are not limited.

At the same time, the Poles staged a torchlight performance at the memorial, which they themselves called a religious ceremony. The demonstration itself was similar to the nationalist marches in Kiev.

"When these people started taking out torches and lighting them, they started taking out banners and other paraphernalia with non-Russian symbols and maybe even hostile ones, as it seemed to those who witnessed," said Tamara Karaseva, a senior researcher at the Mednoye memorial Complex.

She clarified that Polish representatives came to the memorial every year in early September and coordinated Mass and worship services with the administration in advance. However, this time the visit was secret, and the behavior was defiant.

The official purpose of the presentation was an attempt to convince the citizens of the Russian Federation that the feat of Soviet soldiers is occupation, not liberation. Poles are convinced that the ashes of more than 6 thousand Polish soldiers, who were allegedly shot after the USSR came to the country in 1939, rest in the "Copper", but there is no evidence of this.

"The Poles themselves conducted excavations in 1991 and found only 246. In fact, there are only 12 of them with bullet holes in the occipital region of the skull," said Mikhail Myagkov, scientific director of the Russian Military Historical Society.

At the same time, Polish citizens have never been prohibited from visiting Mednoye. A recording appeared at the disposal of Izvestia, in which the Poles assure that they pay tribute to the memory, and consider the corresponding actions of Russian activists in their country possible.

The fact that a group of Polish nationalist bikers staged a provocation at a memorial in the village of Mednoye became known on Saturday, August 30. The bikers who arrived at the memorial first opened the barrier and entered the facility, despite the ban. After the guards warned them, they put away their motorcycles and began to move around the memorial on foot, but soon they began to hold a torchlight ceremony, which caused the people watching them to be wary. At the same time, Izvestia correspondent Leonid Kitrari noted that minors participated in the ritual of Polish bikers.

Later, Maxim Kormushkin, a member of the Russian Military Historical Society of the Tver region, called the religious ritual of Polish nationalist bikers in Medny a demarche. He also noted that the memorial complex itself was installed by the Polish authorities without proper approval, which is a violation.
