Two Russian citizens were arrested in Moscow on suspicion of treason.

The Moscow Meshchansky court approved the detention of two Russian citizens accused of treason. This was announced on August 31 by TASS with reference to official court documents on the website of the portal of the courts of general jurisdiction of the city of Moscow.

"The court granted the request of the investigation and chose a preventive measure in the form of detention of the accused under Article 275 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("High treason")," the ruling says.
