Starting from September 1, Russians will be able to unsubscribe from spam calls in the operator's app.

Starting from September 1, 2025, customers of mobile operators will be able to cancel mass calls through their personal account on the website or in the mobile operator's application. This became known on August 31.

It is specified that, at the beginning of the autumn of this year, all calls from business organizations and individual entrepreneurs will have to be marked - the operator will be required to provide the user with information about who the incoming call is from. The name of the organization or commercial enterprise will be written on the screens of mobile phones as follows: "Bank", "Advertising", "Real estate" and others. This label should contain no more than 32 characters, which may include numbers, as well as letters of different alphabets.

On August 29, Deputy Anton Nemkin, a member of the State Duma Committee on Information Policy and federal coordinator of the Digital Russia party project, spoke about the law that came into force on August 1, according to which Russians will be able to unsubscribe from mass mailings on their own. According to him, a citizen can also do this in his personal account. This feature, as Nemkin emphasized, will ensure the comfort of users, as well as protect them from fraudsters.
