The scammers have developed fake applications posing as Mir Pay in order to transfer victims' money to their accounts. This was announced on August 31 in the press center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation.

According to the agency, the scammers have created a technology known as "reverse NFC". It fraudulently imitates the Mir Pay application and gives them the opportunity to connect their bank cards to users' devices.

"As a result, by approaching an ATM and attaching a smartphone, the victim transfers cash to these other people's cards," TASS quoted the agency as saying.

On August 28, RIA Novosti reported on a new fraud scheme to steal an account from Gosuslug. It was clarified that the attackers call the victim's phone and give her address, after which they offer to get a personal code from the intercom, with which they can open the front door without using a key.
