Facilities of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, Rosselkhoznadzor and Rosrybolovstvo, which are critically important to the population or may pose a potential danger, will be equipped with anti-unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) systems. The relevant documents were released on August 31.

According to the content of this resolution, all enterprises will be divided into three groups: the first will include those facilities whose activities are associated with microorganisms of the first and second pathogenicity groups, as well as those where more than 500 people may be injured in a UAV attack, the second — companies where up to 500 employees may be affected, and the third — up to 50 employees.

For those employed at an enterprise belonging to the first category, it is planned to develop an algorithm for actions in the event of a threat of a drone attack, according to which training will be conducted. This, as specified in the text, is necessary to counter drones.

"The following measures are being implemented: equipping potentially dangerous areas and critical elements of facilities (territories) with engineering and technical means to counter the illegal use of unmanned vehicles; setting up air surveillance posts and countering the illegal use of unmanned vehicles," RIA Novosti cites the contents of the document.

It is specified that the list of objects of the agro-industrial complex (agroindustrial complex) subject to protection from anti-terrorist activities is compiled by departments. In addition, a special commission is currently being created to categorize enterprises, which is allocated no more than 30 days to work.

On June 13, the Russian government announced that it had conducted tests of laser systems that are planned to be used as part of the universal air defense (PVO). Denis Manturov, Deputy Prime Minister, supervised the testing of promising UAV counteraction systems, which were commissioned by Russian President Vladimir Putin to develop. Testing confirmed that the development meets the stated requirements, which allowed us to proceed to the stage of its mass production.
