Dmitriev noted the understanding of the United States of the prolongation of the crisis in Ukraine by the heads of the EU

Washington now sees how the leaders of the European Union (EU) countries are prolonging the conflict in Ukraine. This was announced on August 30 by Kirill Dmitriev, Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation for cooperation with foreign countries and head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF).

"Even Washington can see it now — EU leaders are dragging out the conflict in Ukraine by making impossible demands," he wrote on the social network X (ex. Twitter), commenting on the Axios article.

Dmitriev noted that the EU should stop sabotaging the peace process in Ukraine, as well as stop following the failed logic of former US President Joe Biden.

If this attempt fails and Washington withdraws from the settlement, the EU will have to dramatically increase spending on supporting Kiev.

Earlier, on August 30, the Axios portal, citing sources, reported that White House officials believe that the leaders of European countries are secretly preventing the settlement of the conflict in Ukraine.
