Russian President Vladimir Putin has sent birthday greetings to President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko. This was reported on the Kremlin's website on August 30.
"I wish you, dear Alexander Grigoryevich, good health, happiness, prosperity and new successes," Putin wrote.
In the letter, the Russian leader also stressed that he values friendly relations, thanks to which it is possible to openly discuss complex issues and make decisions that meet the interests of fraternal peoples.
"We will, of course, continue a constructive and meaningful dialogue and work closely together to further enhance bilateral ties in all areas," the statement said.
At a meeting with the heads of the Belarusian diplomatic missions on July 31, Lukashenko said that Minsk and Moscow had passed a serious test of strength together and had passed this test, and relations were on the rise.
