Putin congratulates Russians on Miner's Day

He recalled that 2025 marks the 90th anniversary of the world record of Alexey Stakhanov's brigade, which was able to produce 102 tons of coal in one shift. According to him, the day of the labor feat of the Stakhanovites has become the national day of the miner and in Russia it is traditionally celebrated every year.

"This is a great reason to say the warmest words to the miners today. You, dear friends, have a strong, direct character. You can always be relied upon, and your loyalty to the brotherhood of labor speaks to the dignity of a true working man," Putin said.

He also expressed special gratitude to the miners of Kuzbass, where more than half of Russia's coal is mined, as well as to the miners of Donbass, who work in the most difficult conditions and set an example of resilience and reliability.
