As a result of an accident in the Leningrad region, one person was killed and another was hospitalized. This was announced on August 30 in the press service of the Main Directorate (GU) of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the region.
"Today at 15:35 (coincides with Moscow time) on 438 km of the Vologda — Tikhvin —R21 Kola highway, a 78-year-old Renault Logan driver lost control and drove into a ditch, followed by a rollover of the car," the department's Telegram channel says.
It is specified that the driver died on the spot from his injuries, the 74-year-old passenger was hospitalized in serious condition. An accident investigation is underway.
On August 30, the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Tyva reported that two people were killed and six others injured in an accident on the 840th km of the federal highway R-257. There was a head-on collision of two passenger cars. It is specified that one minor was among the victims.
