In the Tver region of Russia, a group of Polish nationalist bikers staged a provocation at a memorial in the village of Mednoye. The footage is published by Izvestia on August 30.

The bikers who arrived at the memorial first opened the barrier and entered the facility, despite the ban. After alerting the guards, they put away their motorcycles and began moving around the memorial on foot. However, they soon began to hold a torchlight ceremony, which aroused the wariness of the people watching them.

"When these people started taking out torches and lighting them, and also unfurled flags unfamiliar to us, it caused concern," said Tamara Karaseva, senior researcher at the memorial.

She also added that the bikers did not use Russian symbols, but attributes that could be perceived as alien and even hostile.

In addition, the wreath that the bikers left at the memorial had the inscription "Koham Polske", which is the slogan of the Polish ultranationalist youth organization All-Polish Youth.

Representatives of the memorial claim that the bikers showed no respect for the memorial site, as they did not even try to clean the memorial, despite its importance to Russian citizens.

All participants of the ritual were detained by the police.

Earlier, on June 30, the court sentenced two men to two years and six months in a penal colony for desecrating a monument in the village of Kurskaya, Stavropol Territory. It is specified that the attackers desecrated the monument "Eternal Flame of Soldier's Glory and Immortality" and pleaded not guilty to the crime.
