The U.S. State Department has approved the possible supply of nearly $180 million worth of spare parts for the Patriot system and $150 million worth of satellite communications services to Ukraine. This was announced on August 30 by the Pentagon's Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA).

"The State Department has decided to approve the possible sale of the Patriot anti—aircraft defense system and related equipment to the Government of Ukraine abroad in the amount of $179.1 million," the press release said.

It clarifies that the sale will improve Ukraine's ability to counter current and future threats by further equipping it to conduct self-defense missions.

The Government of Ukraine has also requested the purchase of expanded satellite communications services for its Starlink terminals.

"The government of Ukraine has requested the acquisition of expanded satellite communications services for its Starlink terminals. <...> The total estimated value of the transaction is $150 million," the DSCA noted.

On August 28, the US State Department approved the potential sale of more than 3,000 missiles worth $825 million ERAM to Ukraine. The statement emphasizes that Kiev has sent Washington a request for the purchase of up to 3,350 missiles, as well as related systems, including navigation equipment and jamming equipment. The United States, in turn, expressed its readiness to sell Ukraine not only missiles, but also other necessary equipment.
