Russian President Vladimir Putin noted the role of cooperation between Moscow and Beijing in improving the work of the G20. He said this in an interview with the Xinhua news Agency on August 29.

"Cooperation between Russia and China in multilateral formats is a significant factor in global politics. The close cooperation between Moscow and Beijing has made positive adjustments to the work of such leading economic platforms as the Group of Twenty (G20 — Ed.) and APEC (Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation. — Ed.)," says the text of the interview, which was quoted on the Kremlin's website.
