On August 29, the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs summoned the Russian Ambassador to Bucharest, Vladimir Lipaev, in order to express a "firm protest" to him after reports appeared in the media about the building of the EU delegation in Kiev allegedly damaged by rocket attacks on August 28.

"The accusations made against Russia during the meeting were dismissed as groundless, unfounded and distorting reality," Lipaev commented on the situation to TASS.
