The Russian Foreign Ministry announced a targeted media campaign to undermine relations between Russia and Iran.

The Russian Foreign Ministry regarded the unreliable materials about Russia's foreign policy appearing in foreign media as a campaign aimed at undermining relations between Moscow and Tehran. This was announced on August 29 in the department.

"The frequency of such materials appearing in a limited period of time suggests a coordinated disinformation campaign conducted by forces hostile to Russia and Iran aimed at undermining the comprehensive strategic partnership between our friendly countries," the ministry said in a statement posted on its Telegram channel.

The Russian Foreign Ministry stressed that these publications could discredit the consistent support that Russia has provided and will continue to provide to Iran.
