The automation expert called the professions irreplaceable by robots
Modern manufacturing tends to automate most processes to increase efficiency, but a number of professions cannot be replaced by robots. Ilya Zemichev, director of the Industrial Automation company, shared this opinion with Izvestia.
"A person cannot be replaced in the field of creativity, creating the same automata, programming robots — I have great doubts that this is possible. Routine operations can be automated," he said.
The expert also noted that against the background of automation, new professions are emerging aimed at organizing the operation of automatic machines. For example, we need people who can design and maintain equipment.
"In our practice, we have never fired people because we made a machine gun. This has never happened before. <...> The girl used to assemble the product herself with her own hands, and now she serves four automated machines. The position has become different, the competencies have grown, and the salary has increased. It's good for the plant, production has become faster," the source said.
In addition, Zemichev added, the maintenance of new products cannot be automated instantly. Automated production of some products is basically not recoupable, he believes. If the sales volume is small, then the invested funds simply will not be repelled, the expert concluded.
Prior to that, on August 17, Vladislav Bykhanov, managing partner of Cornerstone HR company, shared with Izvestia the opinion that couriers remain indispensable for now. According to him, this profession requires speed and flexibility, which robots still lack.
