A new department for strategic partnership and cooperation will be established within the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation. The corresponding decree was signed on August 29 by Head of State Vladimir Putin.

In addition, the document abolishes the Office for Interregional and Cultural Relations, as well as the Office for Cross-border cooperation, within the presidential administration.
