Sergunina spoke about the importance of the BRICS+ Fashion Summit for the Moscow fashion industry

During the three years of the BRICS+ Fashion Summit international forum in Moscow, about 600 Russian and foreign designers, heads of leading companies, experts from relevant associations and journalists from 109 countries, including Turkey, China, Brazil, Serbia, and South Africa, took part in it. This was announced by Deputy Mayor Natalia Sergunina.

"Major events such as the BRICS Fashion Forum help promote domestic brands on the global market. Together with our foreign colleagues, we present our advantages and potential to each other, discuss promising ways to develop the industry, and agree on mutual support and new projects," said Sergunina.

Thanks to the forum, Russian designers, including those from Moscow, expand their list of business contacts and receive invitations to foreign industry events. Industry representatives have already visited India, Tunisia, Costa Rica, South Africa, Ethiopia, and will soon travel to China, Guatemala, and Nicaragua.

This year, the BRICS+ Fashion Summit is taking place in Moscow from 28 to 30 August. It was joined by over 250 foreign experts (48% came to the forum for the first time, and 52% returned).

During the business part of the forum, representatives of the fashion industry discuss topical issues, in particular, the use of digital tools to create collections, the use of AI and attracting investments, the development of related industries, and innovative materials in production. Separate sessions were devoted to the Republic of South Africa and Brazil, as well as to the national culture of Russia.

In addition, guests of the forum can visit the exhibition "Native Motifs", where costumes of peoples from different parts of Russia are presented. The program also includes shows of collections by foreign designers and an intensive training course for novice specialists.

The BRICS+ Fashion Summit is organized as part of the Moscow Fashion Week.
