According to Daria Kozlova, Director of Education at Yandex, it is impossible to meet the demand for IT specialists and their training without the involvement of industry experts. The experience of companies will help students gain competencies that meet business needs, she noted. "More than 1,200 of our employees work with students and schoolchildren. Our teachers are practitioners, people who create new technologies and develop products, including those based on YandexGPT," the expert emphasized.

The participants of the discussion also noted that in the context of competition with the capital's universities, universities in the regions are looking for various ways to attract students. Acting Rector of UrFU Ilya Obabkov sees a solution in cooperation with the industry in order to introduce students to the industrial sector from the first year. "This may become a feature of universities located outside the capitals," says Obabkov.

Joint programs with IT companies also attract applicants, experts believe. Bigtechs are increasingly working with strong universities outside of Moscow and St. Petersburg. So, in the new academic year, Yandex programs will be available in more than 40 universities in 18 regions. In the future, they will appear in 100 universities, and the number of students will reach 15,000, Kozlova noted.

The integration of AI solutions into school education will benefit both schoolchildren and teachers, said Dmitry Fishbein, associate professor at the HSE Institute of Education and former director of the HSE Lyceum. "I am sure that AI is a chance for schools to improve the effectiveness of the educational process, primarily in the direction of personalization," the expert concluded.
