The psychologist named the main problem of women of the modern generation
Family psychologist Elena Rusinova said that the main problem of modern women is that they do not see beauty in themselves.
In an interview with Radio 1 on Friday, August 29, she noted that Russians place great emphasis on appearance because there is an illusion that beauty makes them more successful.
The psychologist noted that people, especially women, spend a lot of effort and resources on appearance, and this trend negatively affects self-esteem. According to her, women who do not meet beauty standards begin to consider themselves "wrong" and direct their energy not to happiness or self-realization, but to attempts to change their appearance.
The specialist emphasized that many patients come to a psychologist with the question of how to be happy when they invest so much in themselves, but do not feel satisfied. She explained that women are beautiful by nature, but they often don't see it and suffer from self-esteem issues.
The expert added that the phenomenon of "cracking" (in honor of the cartoon character "Shrek", when people choose partners with unremarkable appearance and give priority to inner qualities) is typical mainly for zoomers, while the older generation was formed on other life scenarios and ideas about themselves.
On August 26, psychologist Olesya Berezhnaya, in an interview with Izvestia, said that burnout is a deep psycho—emotional state caused by chronic stress. According to her, the first and most important step in burnout is realizing emptiness.
