Retail alcohol sales will be restricted in the Sakhalin Region on September 1. The ban will apply to all drinks, including beer.
The restriction is provided for by regional law and is introduced in those localities where ceremonial lines are held in schools. This is reported by SakhalinMedia news agency.
Retail stores will not be able to sell alcohol. The restriction does not apply to public catering establishments, while taking alcohol outside the institution is prohibited. Officials face fines of 20 to 40 thousand rubles for violations, and up to 300 thousand rubles for legal entities.
Earlier it was reported that alcohol consumption in the Kamchatka Territory has decreased by 5% since spring.
