Ushakov spoke about the work program of Putin's visit to China
During his visit to China, Russian President Vladimir Putin will attend a meeting of heads of state of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), meet with foreign leaders and attend a military parade in Beijing. This was announced on August 29 by Presidential aide Yuri Ushakov.
"The first event is a solemn reception on behalf of the President of the People's Republic of China, and this reception will be attended by both the heads of the SCO member delegation and the leaders from the invited countries," he said.
It is planned that during the meeting the SCO leaders will sign a number of joint documents. Putin will also meet with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Presidents of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Iran, Masoud Peseshkian.
"After the completion of these bilateral events and the completion of the entire SCO program, our president will move from Tianjin to Beijing. And then a direct bilateral official visit will be carried out," Ushakov added.
Putin will also hold a trilateral meeting in Beijing with Chinese Leader Xi Jinping and Mongolian President Uhnaagiin Khurelsukh.
After that, the leaders of Russia and China will have expanded talks, which will be attended by members of the Russian delegation. On September 3, Putin will attend a military parade in Beijing dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the victory over Japan and the end of World War II.
Putin will pay a four—day visit to China from August 31 to September 3. Large-scale negotiations are planned between the delegations of the two countries.
The Reuters news agency reported on August 28 that Putin and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un will attend the Victory Day parade in Beijing, dedicated to the official surrender of Japan during World War II. It was specified that the heads of state and government from 26 countries will attend the event.
