The expert announced a twofold increase in sales of auto parts from China

In the first half of 2025, sales of components for cars manufactured in China have almost doubled. In some regions of the Russian Federation, there is a record demand for them. For example, in Bashkiria, this figure has increased by about 45% since the beginning of the year. This was stated by Ilarion Demchikov, Marketing Director of the Emex information and trading platform.

"Due to the demand for Chinese cars in the Russian market (55% of the market), the volume of imports of components from China is also increasing, amounting to over a billion dollars in the first half of this year," Rossiyskaya Gazeta quoted Demchikov as saying on August 29.

Due to the increased supply on the market, the cost of spare parts by the summer has decreased by about 8% since the beginning of the year. According to the expert, it is expected that in the near future the demand for auto parts from China will continue to grow in parallel with the increase in the fleet of Chinese-made cars in the country and the imminent appearance of new brands from China in Russia.

Earlier, on August 14, it was reported that owners of Lada Vesta, Volkswagen Polo and Hyundai Solaris began to apply for repairs 13% more often than in 2024. The cost of maintenance work has also increased.

Alexey Tikhomirov, General Director of Lada-Image JSC, told Izvestia on August 5 that counterfeit auto parts pose a serious threat to the safety of drivers and passengers. They can also lead to the failure of warranty repairs and legal consequences.
